Documentary Short Film

Welcome to Boley

In collaboration with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, 1577 Productions created a powerful branded short film highlighting the historic town of Boley, one of Oklahoma’s most storied Black communities. Rooted in resilience and cultural significance, Boley stands as a testament to Black entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency. Through archival photos, historical footage, and expert narration, the film takes viewers on an informative journey, exploring the town’s rich past while shedding light on the challenges its residents face today.

At the heart of the story is a pressing issue—food insecurity. Despite its historical prominence, many in Boley struggle with access to basic needs. This film serves to amplify the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s initiative to establish a community food pantry, bringing much-needed resources to the area. With a blend of historical storytelling and modern advocacy, the project is both a tribute to Boley’s legacy and a call to action, ensuring its residents receive the support they deserve. 1577 Productions is honored to have played a role in bringing this important story to life.
